About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Building Manager to join our Planned Maintenance team at Leeds City Council. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in delivering the maintenance programme for the entire corporate estate.

As an Assistant Building Manager, you will be responsible for specifying the requirements for and overseeing the delivery of the planned maintenance programme. You will also manage surveyors and project staff, procure contractors, evaluate tenders, monitor performance, and control expenditure for schemes.

This role requires a strong background in building design, surveying, and construction, as well as experience with health and safety regulations, CDM, and fire regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 per annum, and you will also benefit from a range of staff benefits, including membership of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund, flexible working arrangements, and a clear career pathway.
