Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Virology Scientist to join our team in London. As a member of our clinical trials organisation, you will be responsible for developing and validating assays with a focus on virology-based & cell-based methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assay Development: Develop and validate a range of assays with a focus on virology-based & cell-based methods (plaque assays, infection assays, flow cytometry, etc.)
  2. Sample Analysis: Support with sample analysis and delivery of projects, communicating with clients and/or stakeholders to provide updates
  3. Documentation: Prepare and review documentation including study plans and completed reports
  4. Publications: Support with writing and reviewing publications aligned to research objectives

Requirements:

  1. PhD in Virology: A PhD in a relevant discipline with a strong background in Virology is required
  2. Industry Experience: First-hand experience developing and validating assays in the industry is essential
  3. Technical Knowledge: In-depth experience and knowledge of virology techniques mentioned above is necessary
  4. Collaboration: An ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising workload to deliver objectives in a collaborative environment
