Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCo to lead the provision for students with special educational needs at our prestigious primary school in Islington. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the SEN team to ensure that all pupils receive the highest quality support tailored to their individual needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with a diverse range of special educational needs and will possess strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusion and a clear understanding of the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the SEN provision, ensuring tailored support for students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop effective SEN strategies and support plans.
  • Lead the SEN team, providing guidance and professional development for staff on best practices in SEN.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students to ensure compliance with national and school standards.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
