Job Description

The Technical Manager position is responsible for managing our quality systems from both an audit and process improvement perspective. You will have experience of working with materials sciences, kiln and dryer operations, and quarrying operations. Your supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment should enable you to improve processes and ways of working.

You will be responsible for analysing data and trends, undertaking audits, and implementing structured problem-solving techniques. Your leadership and people management skills will be essential in building, motivating, developing, and improving the team.

A high degree of computer literacy and numeracy is required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft applications. Leadership experience within a similar capacity/position will be beneficial in coaching and mentoring an existing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage quality systems from both an audit and process improvement perspective
  • Analyse data and trends, undertake audits, and implement structured problem-solving techniques
  • Develop and implement efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures
  • Lead and manage a team, including coaching, mentoring, and improving team performance
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Materials Sciences or related field
  • Experience in kiln and dryer operations, quarrying operations, and quality management
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Leadership experience within a similar capacity/position
