As a key member of the Financial Management department at Bank of China, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the bank's financial activities. The department is responsible for a variety of financial functions, including accounting and financial reporting, fixed asset and expenses management, budget and management reporting, taxation, regulatory reporting, treasury, and capital management.

As an Assistant Vice President Accounting (HO Reporting & Projects) - Mandarin Speaking, you will apply your knowledge of IFRS and best practice methodology to provide accounting knowledge and technical support to business departments, ensuring that targets set by Head Office are met.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate accounting treatments and integrating Head Office accounting policies into local accounting policies
  • Supporting Head Office requirements regarding the data enhancement project, including Data Grid, 6-files project, and data quality initiatives
  • Liaising with the bank's internal and external auditors
  • Producing reporting for Head Office
  • AP/AR monitoring and management
  • Carrying out internal reconciliation
  • Liaising with Head Office, the wider bank, and within the team, including supporting junior staff members
  • Assisting with the maintenance of financial policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, with experience in the Financial Services or Professional Services industry. They will also possess technical expertise in accounting operations under IFRS, demonstrable business transformation and process improvement skills, knowledge and experience of financial products and services, and fluency in Mandarin.
