Job Description

As an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor at Correct Contract Services Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards in electrical installations. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct national quality control checks and certification sign-offs for all electrical installations within the CCS Retrofit department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining quality standards by conducting quality assurance checks and ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Delivering a high-quality service to clients and their customers, demonstrating respect for all individuals and meeting challenges presented.
  • Promoting and maintaining compliance with MCS and 18th edition standards across all electrical work.
  • Providing timely and accurate defect reports to the central admin team for rectification of issues.
  • Ensuring continuous education of staff and lessons learned, as well as upskilling and training of operatives on site.
  • Promoting CCS image and engaging with customers to promote CCS quality standards and education.
  • Carrying out intrusive testing and verification of results of retrofit.
  • Clearing each job from the handheld device and back-office system, along with QC paperwork.
  • Liaising with residents and CCS clients as required about the works being undertaken.
  • Ensuring all PPE is present and correct, and basic standards are always upheld on site.
  • Liaising with project managers and assisting with maintaining the standards of the QMS and company quality manual.
  • Ensuring all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
  • Reporting to Senior Electrical QS on technical matters.
  • Ensuring all appointments are kept and CCS tenants/clients are informed.
  • Carrying out duties as required by senior managers or members of staff representing such managers.
  • Staying up-to-date with all codes of practice involving the given discipline.
  • Reporting variations to any works and updating the administration department of changes to requirements on site.
  • Engaging and attending all staff briefings and company functions.
  • Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Liaising with all other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing production of certificates or job sheets for all works, and submitting valid and accurate timesheets, delivery notes, expenses, and other documentation weekly.

Essential qualifications include:

  • General competence in the given trade.
  • C&G 2330 Level 3 apprenticeship completion or equivalent.
  • AM2.
  • NVQ level 3.
  • C&G 2391, initial verification and periodic inspection or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of Solar PV.
  • Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in the given trade.
  • Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on installation projects and maintenance contracts.
  • Experience of working with residents and clients directly.
  • A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
