About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Planning Manager to join our client, a leading national developer, in their North London office. As a key member of the planning team, you will play a central role in driving the company's growth and development initiatives throughout the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop a team of committed planners, fostering their growth and ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects align with strategic development objectives and meet the company's goals.
  • Planning Applications: Formulate and present planning applications, maintaining ongoing communication with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national planning regulations.
  • Issue Resolution: Assess and propose resolutions for intricate planning and zoning issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Research and Development: Maintain a commitment to ongoing research, staying up-to-date with local, regional, and national planning regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree-qualified and MRTPI-qualified.
  • Experience: Currently working for a planning consultancy or residential developer/house developer with experience in strategic land development.
  • Skills: Detailed experience in dealing with residential planning applications and appeals, with a strong understanding of local, regional, and national planning regulations.
  • Personal Qualities: Bright, ambitious, and determined to succeed, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
