Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at Dr. V K Dewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering and directing phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and handling general correspondence
  • Managing patient appointments, bookings, and requests for prescriptions
  • Coordinating ambulance transport bookings and communicating with other healthcare providers as needed
  • Registering new patients, directing visitors, and handling prescriptions
  • Collecting payments from patients for non-NHS services and issuing receipts
  • Performing filing and administrative tasks, including pulling Lloyd George envelopes and extracting information from the Practice computer system
  • Observing health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized reception area

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of Emis Web clinical system
  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE Mathematics and English
  • AMSPAR Receptionist certificate or equivalent
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in reception or administrative roles
