Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at Dr. V K Dewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering and directing phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and handling general correspondence
- Managing patient appointments, bookings, and requests for prescriptions
- Coordinating ambulance transport bookings and communicating with other healthcare providers as needed
- Registering new patients, directing visitors, and handling prescriptions
- Collecting payments from patients for non-NHS services and issuing receipts
- Performing filing and administrative tasks, including pulling Lloyd George envelopes and extracting information from the Practice computer system
- Observing health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized reception area

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of Emis Web clinical system
- Good standard of general education, including GCSE Mathematics and English
- AMSPAR Receptionist certificate or equivalent
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in reception or administrative roles
