Overnight Property Manager

Job Summary
The Overnight Property Manager is responsible for overseeing all property operations during the overnight shift, ensuring the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. This role represents property management in resolving guest or property-related situations, personally assisting in resolving issues and completing tasks.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related field.
- Or, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
The Overnight Property Manager will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all operational guidelines.
- Ensuring all employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed.
- Ensuring employees are working in a safe environment.
- Managing all period-end inventories.
Supporting Profitability and Revenue Goals
The Overnight Property Manager will:
- Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
- Assist in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
- Assist the accounts receivable clerk in all aspects of their job and in keeping all invoices due below 60 days.
- Monitor that the supervisor is researching/processing all chargebacks and rebates on a timely basis.
- Administer plans and actions to keep chargebacks and rebates to a minimum.
- Ensure all employees are adhering to proper cash handling procedures and monitor overage/shortages.
- Manage employee hours.
- Work with the leadership team to identify and implement action plans to prevent the reoccurrence of guest issues.
Supporting Human Resources Activities
The Overnight Property Manager will:
- Promote participation in property safety-related programs.
- Monitor employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.
- Promote teamwork and employee morale.
- Keep employees informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.
- Assist supervisors in handling employee performance issues.
- Ensure all employees have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Encourage employee relations through gifts, parties, and outings.
- Create incentives that will promote better service and profit for the property.
- Assist the operations manager in processing employee payroll weekly.
