Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting the highest standards of care for our residents, ensuring their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Work collaboratively with management and staff to ensure the delivery of excellent care services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, upholding the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a residential care setting, preferably with older people or those with a learning disability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ/QCF training and maintain registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
