Director of Pharmacy Services

Leadership of Pharmacy Services: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Pharmacy Services to lead our pharmacy team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of pharmacy services, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This will involve working closely with our clinical and operational teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with our service objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality and safety of pharmacy services.
- Lead the development of clinical pharmacy policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with national standards and best practice.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our clinical pharmacy team, ensuring that they have the necessary support and resources to deliver high-quality services.
- Work closely with our business intelligence team to develop and implement effective reporting and monitoring systems.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders, including other healthcare professionals, patients, and the wider community.
- Ensure that our pharmacy services are delivered in a way that is patient-focused and responsive to their needs.
- Develop and implement effective systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality and safety of pharmacy services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our pharmacy team on issues related to clinical governance and risk management.
- Ensure that our pharmacy services are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- A strong background in pharmacy practice, with experience of leading and managing pharmacy teams.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of clinical governance and risk management principles, with the ability to apply these in a pharmacy context.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
