Youth Development Support Worker

Job Overview:
The Highland Council is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join their team as an Out of School Care Assistant. As a key member of the childcare team, you will work closely with the Head Teacher to deliver stimulating activities in a safe environment that meet the needs of both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Teacher in delivering a range of activities for children
- Work effectively with the childcare team to ensure a safe and nurturing environment
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure seamless support for children
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children
- Knowledge of Care Standards and the Care Commission
- Unqualified workers should be committed to working towards the award within an agreed timescale
- Qualifications in Food Handling and First Aid
Working Arrangements:
This role offers a permanent position with 20 hours per week, working on a part-time basis. Salary placement will normally be at the first point of the scale, £12,234 - £13,401 per year.
