About the Role

Fleet Education Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Tutor to join our team of experienced educators. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their English language and literature skills, helping them to achieve their academic potential and build confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality tuition to students in a one-to-one or small group setting, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Dyslexia or Dyspraxia.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and work collaboratively with guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification in English Language and Literature or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience, with a proven track record of supporting students with SEN.
  • Be willing to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
