About the Role
  • Provide general support to the school and its pupils, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supervise and lead classes under guidance and instructions set by the teacher, promoting student engagement and academic progress.
  • Communicate effectively with the teacher, providing regular feedback and updates on student progression and behaviour.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, ensuring that behaviour is in line with school expectations and policies.
  • Be motivated and ambitious, with a goal to support children to reach their full potential and achieve academic success.
  • Attend regular professional development sessions, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in education or a related field.
  • Previous experience within a secondary school setting, with a proven track record of supporting students and staff.
  • A passion for supporting students to learn and develop, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Experience as a Cover Supervisor is desirable, however experienced Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply.
