Job Title: Consultant in Spinal Cord Injuries

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Spinal Cord Injuries to join their team at The James Cook University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading the multidisciplinary team managing spinal cord injured patients.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care and lead the multidisciplinary team managing spinal cord injured patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and train junior medical staff.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities.

Requirements
  • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCP (Rehabilitation) or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent.
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC.
Desirable
  • Training in appraisal techniques.
  • Experience in counselling.
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
