About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Site Analyst to conduct sampling and fibre counting as per customer requirements, adhering to HSG248 and relevant Method Statements. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct airborne asbestos sampling and fibre counting in accordance with HSG248 and in-house Method Statements;
  • To adhere to the Quality Management System and ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • To monitor, adapt, and review own methods for analytical sampling as per HSG248, In-House Method Statement, and MQP116 Asbestos Analytical Procedures;
  • To conduct 4-stage clearance procedures and authorise/issue air testing/4SC certification/reports;
  • To maintain allocated vehicle and equipment in operational order and report any faults or issues to the Quality/Technical Manager immediately;
  • To participate in external and in-house quality control programmes, lead by example, and provide technical support as a competent person;
  • To ensure participation in briefings, toolbox talks, training, and annual performance review meetings;
  • To assist in the training and auditing of other technical staff and complete company site-specific records correctly.

Requirements:

  • P403 & P404 certificates, W504 module or RSPH Certificate for Asbestos Analysts (Air);
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in asbestos analysis or a related field;
  • A full driving licence with no more than 3 points;
  • Familiarity with the local area and ability to travel to client sites as required.
