Job Title: Multi Skilled Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Electrician to join our team at Newport City Homes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver a professional and cost-effective service, maintaining and improving the homes of our customers. As a Multi Skilled Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and constructing electrical installations, including full and part rewires, to adhere to current IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Maintaining and certifying all areas of the business, including commercial and domestic properties.
  • Completing all relevant electrical testing and safety certificates, including installation and condition reports.
  • Installing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, and repairing a range of heating systems and controls.
  • Installing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, and repairing a range of door entry systems.
  • Undertaking cyclical testing of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing apprentices and other members of staff.
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed within the specified time period to a required standard and conform to current regulations.
  • Driving an allocated works vehicle in line with the driver handbook.
  • Accurately recording work time, materials, and plant used to complete a repair.
  • Ensuring the safe use and safe storage of any plant issued.
  • Conducting daily safety checks of the allocated works vehicle.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business internally and externally.
  • Working at all times in a safe and appropriate manner to meet the duties and responsibilities within the Health and Safety policies and procedures of the association.
