Job Title: Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbine mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems
  • Carry out unscheduled maintenance and retrofits, as well as emergency breakdown and major component exchanges
  • Lead a team of technicians to ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Assist in all areas of site operations

Requirements:

  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments
  • Valid driving license
