We are seeking an exceptional Senior Culinary Director to lead our kitchen team in delivering outstanding dining experiences at a country pub in Cheshire.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, with a passion for food safety and quality. As the Senior Culinary Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and production while fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Implement and maintain food safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen efficiency.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the culinary or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
  • A passion for food production and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per year.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, agreed during interview.

Appointment Process:

Subject to DBS and right to work checks, and satisfactory references.
