Nursery Setting: Bright Horizons Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool

Compensation: Starting from £24, £25,200 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Milton Keynes

We are seeking a part-time, Level 2/3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Wavendon nursery team. Our 65-place setting is Ofsted rated 'Good' and offers a large garden with a climbing frame, sandpit, and bike track.

The nursery operates from 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We offer flexible scheduling, with typical shifts ranging from three to four days per week. A standard shift pattern would be Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday, with options for 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, or 9:30am-6:00pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, implement, and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each key child, encouraging their development towards key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment.

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar).
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
