We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist SEN Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs in the Rawtenstall area.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Specialist SEN Support Assistant in a supportive and inclusive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the life of a child with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with children and their families through a nurturing approach, providing a safe and inclusive environment for the pupil to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other professionals to implement suggested strategies and provide a calm and consistent approach to the pupil's daily routine.
  • Recognise and identify gaps in children's learning and communicate this with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver interventions.
  • Promote the inclusive school ethos and have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children who have additional needs.
  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • An understanding of the National Curriculum and an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The highest commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the safety of pupils, with an enhanced DBS certificate.

Location: Rawtenstall, Lancashire.

Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour (inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay).

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 15:30pm.
