About the Role:
Purosearch Ltd is seeking an exceptional Health Surveillance Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting various health surveillance tasks, including audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol testing, blood sampling, conducting flu clinics, administering vaccinations, managing cases, performing pre-employment medicals, and promoting employee health. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home two days a week.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for identifying and managing cases where employees may be at risk of developing work-related health problems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Audiometry: Conducting hearing tests to assess the hearing ability of employees.
  • Spirometry: Carrying out lung function tests to evaluate respiratory health.
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing: Conducting tests to detect the presence of substances that can impair an individual's ability to perform their job safely.
  • Blood Sampling: Collecting blood samples for analysis to identify potential health risks.
  • Flu Clinics: Administering flu vaccinations to protect employees from seasonal flu outbreaks.
  • Vaccinations: Providing vaccinations to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Case Management: Identifying and managing cases where employees may be at risk of developing work-related health problems.
  • Pre-employment Medicals: Conducting medical assessments before hiring new employees to ensure they are fit for duty.
  • Health Promotion: Promoting healthy behaviors and providing advice on maintaining good health and well-being.

Requirements:
To apply for this role, you must be a registered nurse with an up-to-date NMC number. Estimated Salary Range: £44,000 - £52,000 per annum

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary of £46,500 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, and a contributory pension scheme.
