Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Surveillance Specialist to join our team as an Occupational Health Technician working on our Mobile Medical Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking health surveillance screening, including audiometry, lung function testing, drug and alcohol testing, and general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires regular overnight stays as part of the role. You will be required to travel throughout the UK driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites to deliver health surveillance services. The successful candidate must have the facility to park the unit at or near their home address overnight and be comfortable with the travel required for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake health surveillance screening, including audiometry, lung function testing, drug and alcohol testing, and general baseline measurements.Ensure all medical information is accurately recorded in the occupational health records and passed to the relevant clinical staff.Undertake and support additional tasks as requested, such as health promotion activities.Provide support to the whole occupational health team in helping the department to run smoothly and effectively.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a sound educational background, including a good standard of numeracy and written English. A graduate from Sports Science degrees is preferred.
