About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Solutions Consultant to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a key member of our End User Compute team, you will play a critical role in shaping the build out of our Azure estate and ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Engineering: Design, engineer, and maintain cloud-based solutions in Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Conditional Access Policies: Implement and maintain conditional access policies to ensure security and compliance across the organization.
  • Compliance Dashboards: Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards to monitor compliance, optimize infrastructure services, and ensure high availability.
  • Cloud Security: Utilize Kusto Query Language (KQL) to extract relevant data and generate visual workbooks for analysis and reporting.
  • Configuration Management: Build and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for Azure resources, mapping dependencies to ensure accurate asset management and resource tracking.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Azure stakeholders, including the Azure Product Architect, FinOps Analyst, and Product Owners, to develop and manage Azure budgets and set up cost alerts.
  • Platform Optimization: Continuously monitor, improve, and optimize the Azure platform to enhance performance, security, and cost-efficiency, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency, speed up processes, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Disaster Recovery: Collaborate with the Resiliency Team to develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans for Azure resources, ensuring data integrity and service continuity.
