Finance Team Assistant

A highly skilled Purchase Ledger Assistant is needed to support our client's finance team on a temporary basis. This exciting opportunity allows you to showcase your skills and potentially become permanent.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate their expertise in matching, checking, and coding supplier invoices, as well as reconciling supplier statements and setting up new suppliers.

About the Job
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and respected organisation in their industry. The hourly rate for this position is £12.50-13.00 per hour. The location of the job is BD5, where parking is available on site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Matching, checking, and coding supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and querying where necessary
  • Setting up new suppliers and ensuring system is up to date
  • Liaising with other departments to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintaining the petty cash
  • Assisting in month-end closing activities

Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to demonstrate skills and qualifications
  • Experience with Sage 1000 (not essential)
