Deputy Headteacher for Behaviour and Attitudes

Bilton School is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to lead our Behaviour and Attitudes team. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour and attitudes across the school.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies for improving student behaviour and attitudes.
- Monitor and evaluate the School Improvement Plan, ensuring the school's goals are achieved.
- Manage the school's daily operations, maintaining a high-profile presence for staff and students.
- Stay up-to-date with local and national educational developments, disseminating information to colleagues.
- Establish clear strategies and routines for student behaviour, setting high expectations for all aspects of school life.
- Lead on high standards of school uniform, in line with school policy.
- Support colleagues in managing challenging student behaviour, promoting warmth, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
- Advise on suspensions, ensuring proportionate, legal, and justified use.
- Monitor and evaluate behaviour patterns and trends across the school.
- Work with the whole staff body to promote a positive and respectful culture, exemplifying the school and Stowe Valley trust core values.
Bilton School is an ethnically mixed 11-18 comprehensive with approximately 1120 students on roll.
