About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Energy Performance Specialist to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Project & Programme Services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering world-class construction projects across the globe.
As a Building Energy Performance Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing to the wider business development process, ensuring an understanding of project briefs, and developing and delivering varied scopes of service. You will also be outward-facing to the markets, liaising with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to develop new and/or existing areas of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the wider business development process within AtkinsRéalis at a local level.
- Ensure an understanding of project briefs, developing and delivering varied scopes of service.
- Be outward-facing to the markets, liaising with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- Lead complex and high-value projects from a Building Energy Performance perspective.
- Provide client strategy to achieve individual site and estate-wide decarbonisation.
- Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools.
- Prepare technical specifications and develop design drawings.
- Work in partnership with AtkinsRéalis international Global Technology Centre (GTC) to add value to building services projects where appropriate.
- Represent AtkinsRéalis at meetings with clients and contractors.
- Site surveys, inspections, and monitor site works.
- Report and technical note writing.
- Maintain complete records and archives to company standards.
- Adhere to all quality, environmental & governance processes.
- Manage own and others' workload, updating forward plans of workload regularly and working to time allocations.
- Manage elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings.
- Review progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead.
- Assist with technical development of junior staff.
- Identify, manage, and record business opportunities.
- Manage the commercial aspects of appointments.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Building Energy Performance Specialist to join our team. You will have a degree-qualified or equivalent qualification in a related subject, hold sustainability/energy/carbon qualifications/accreditations, and be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IET.
You will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to understand and express technical concepts clearly and accurately. You will also have a working knowledge of common forms of contract such as NEC, JCT, etc., and awareness of key legislation, regulations, and industry standards relevant to Building Services.
