Job Description: Nuclear Power Programme Specialist

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Nuclear Power Programme Specialist to join our team at Jacobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading environmental permitting projects and ensuring compliance against regulatory requirements.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with environmental permitting knowledge and experience working on complex major infrastructure projects. As our Nuclear Power Programme Specialist, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Applying for and varying environmental permits to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Preparing Environmental Permit applications for activities and discharges to water, land and air to support construction phases of the project.
  • Collaborating with the site-based environment team to assess performance/compliance for site activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in UK environmental permitting regimes and permit application management.
  • Desirable experience working with UK environmental regulators (EA, NRW or SEPA).
  • Ability to analyze scientific reports and investigations to support permit applications.
  • A strong track record of enhancing environmental compliance within relevant sectors, with a recognized qualification.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
