Environmental Compliance Officer

We are seeking a talented Environmental Compliance Officer to join our team in the UK. As an Environmental Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for leading environmental permitting projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge and experience of the UK environmental permitting regime and management of permit applications. Experience of working for the UK environmental regulators (e.g., EA, NRW or SEPA) is desirable. You will also have the ability to analyse scientific reports and investigations to permit applications for waste, water and air, as well as a proven track record of monitoring and enhancing environmental compliance within relevant sectors and skilled in leading environmental audits and investigations.

As an Environmental Compliance Officer, your daily responsibilities will include preparing Environmental Permit applications for activities and discharges to water, land and air to support the different construction phases of the project, and providing expert advice and assessing performance/compliance for specific site activities in collaboration with the site-based environment team.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
