Job Title: Principal Configuration Engineer

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Principal Configuration Engineer to join our team at our Luton site. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the configuration management activities across all lifecycle phases of our programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a proactive approach to configuration management, ensuring that all configuration activities are properly planned, executed, and controlled.
  • Support the Head of Configuration and Data Management in encouraging new ideas and innovative solutions within the team and across the organisation.
  • Resolve configuration management issues within the team by making proposals and driving through solutions.
  • Provide configuration management input to design reviews and certification, ensuring that all configuration baselines are properly managed.
  • Work closely with our engineering delivery teams to ensure that the project dataset is maintained and configuration controlled.

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of configuration management in accordance with DEF STAN 05-57.
  • Strong administration skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to achieve UK Security Clearance (SC) and access UK-Eyes-Only and ITAR material.
