Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality, flexible, and proactive customer-oriented service.
The successful candidate will have experience in Air Handling Units, Motors, Bearings, and commercial/industrial heating systems. You will work on a wide range of electrical equipment and services across all areas within the Trust's estate, requiring a multi-skilled ability to work safely and effectively outside your core skill as an electrically biased engineer.
Skilled fault finding is essential, often in circumstances where limited initial information is provided. You will ensure that the work you carry out is done effectively to provide a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

More Detail about the Role:
To provide an efficient maintenance service, carrying out work of a wide-ranging nature, with an aim to support the provision of a high-quality, flexible, proactive customer-oriented service. This will be in the areas of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), repair, alteration, testing, and installation of engineering services, equipment, and fixtures maintained by the Facilities Maintenance Department.
Requiring a multi-skilled, electrically biased engineer, who is willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service at locations in Devon. The successful applicant must have experience with Air Handling Units and commercial heating systems and pipework.
Will contribute to the development of the service, ensuring that the Trust's Visions and Values are maintained at all times, focusing on engineering excellence, integrity, and support for the wider team.
In all cases, compliance is required to Statutory and Regulatory requirements, which includes Legionella, Electrical Safety Policy, Asbestos, and Permit to Work Policies and Procedures in a professional manner.
Working Pattern: hours over a 5-day period (Monday to Friday) This role also includes being part of the on-call engineering team and attending out-of-hours emergency faults when it is your week on the rota.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings.
