About the Role

As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you will travel across your region to manage and develop teams in various care homes, ensuring high-quality care and service delivery. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you will help implement action plans to meet residents' needs.

You will take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, helping with care standards, motivating teams, and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best possible quality of life for residents. This involves leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking regulatory compliance.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, as is evidence of continual professional development. You will also need to have experience in helping residents with different health needs, managing safeguarding investigations, and clinical risk assessments.
