Royal Air Force Lakenheath is a leading provider of engineering services, seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our team. As an HVAC Mechanic at RAF Lakenheath, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is £24,800 - £43,500 per year, depending on experience. This translates to approximately £12.13-£21.10 per hour at W-03 Level.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, and modify complex heating boilers, power boilers, domestic heating units, and system, as well as auxiliary and pollution control equipment. You will work 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with possible shift work or emergency call-outs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant qualification based on skill level (GCSE, BTEC, City & Guilds)
- Knowledge of combustion, heat transfer principles, and fuel characteristics
- Experience with air conditioning, refrigeration, and temperature control systems
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and proficient maintenance skills
