About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Digital Channels Specialist to join our team at North West London Pathology. As a Digital Channels Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of our new website and creating engaging and persuasive multi-channel content.

Main Responsibilities

Key tasks and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Implementing our new website
  • Creating engaging and persuasive multi-channel content
  • Working with our digital communications officer to support our social media platforms

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content writing and web copywriting, as well as technical expertise, knowledge, and experience to project manage from conception to delivery new digital channels and products. They will also have a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and experience using content management systems such as Wordpress, Drupal.

Person Specification

The person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience, and knowledge required for the role. This includes:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Technical expertise: trained in the use of content management systems and web-based applications
  • Graphic design qualification
  • High level of editorial flair, and a flexible writing style to target different audiences
  • Ability to communicate clearly and simply about digital technology and how it can be employed to achieve business objectives
  • Ability to understand a problem and communicate appropriate solutions
  • Experience and proven track record of using content management systems such as Wordpress, Drupal within a corporate communications team environment
  • Experience of project managing website / intranet implementations / developments within a corporate communications team environment
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of using Adobe design software or equivalent software such as Canva as well as Microsoft applications
  • Experience of using technical equipment and software to create graphics and manipulate images
