Project Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Energy as a Project Manager, responsible for the successful execution of Components Engineering Projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Provide project management, coordination, and guidance to the project team for all project activities, ensuring alignment with product and project requirements.
- Process Management: Ensure adherence to project management processes, best practices, and tools, identifying errors and improvement opportunities.
- Risk Management: Identify, score, monitor, manage, and action mitigations for technical and commercial project risks and opportunities.
- Delegation: Delegate responsibilities while maintaining responsibility for achieving project requirements.
- Leadership: Provide reporting and support on project-related activities to the Programme Manager and Team Leaders.
- Supervision: Occasional supervisory responsibilities for Apprentices, mentoring and assisting in demonstrating project management and product development processes.
- Project Controls: Monitor, control, and report financial and schedule performance of all projects under your responsibility.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive process and continual improvement initiatives to enhance product development's ability to deliver projects to requirements.
- Finance: Support the Programme Manager with project finance plans and reporting as required.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure project success and satisfaction of the customer through professional stakeholder management.
- Excellent project management experience with a degree or high-level qualification in project management.
- Understanding of workplace planning and experience of engineering development project execution.
- Knowledge of customer operations and requirements.
- General industry awareness.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations and techniques.
- Understanding of commercial and contract management.
- Strong knowledge and experience of risk management covering all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodology, processes, tools, and procedures.
- Experience of managing projects in an engineering environment.
- Design and deliver effective informal and formal presentations to individuals and groups.
- Dealing with customers.
- Working with suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience of task management.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP).
- Good understanding of engineering processes.
