Project Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Energy as a Project Manager, responsible for the successful execution of Components Engineering Projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project management: Provide project management, coordination, and guidance to the project team for all project activities.
- Process: Ensure that project management processes, best practices, and tools are adhered to at a level that is appropriate to the complexity of the project.
- Risk: Identify, score, monitor, manage, and action mitigations for technical and commercial project risks and opportunities.
- Delegate: Delegate responsibilities but maintain responsibility as required to achieve project requirements.
- Support leaders: Provide reporting and support on project-related activities to the Programme Manager and Team Leaders.
- Supervisory: Occasional supervisory responsibilities for Apprentices. Mentor and assist in demonstrating project management and product development processes to apprentices within the department.
- Project controls: Monitor, control, and report financial and schedule performance of all projects under your responsibility.
- Continuous improvement: Identify and drive process and continual improvement initiatives that improve product development's ability to deliver projects to requirements.
- Finance: Support the Programme Manager with project finance plans and reporting as required.
- Ensure success: Ensure project success and satisfaction of the customer (internal and external) through professional stakeholder management.
- Excellent project management experience with ideally a degree or high-level qualification in project management.
- An understanding of workplace planning and experience of engineering development project execution.
- Outline knowledge, understanding, and workplace experience of customer operations and requirements.
- General industry awareness.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations and techniques.
- An understanding of commercial and contract management.
- Strong knowledge and experience of risk management covering all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodology, processes, tools, and procedures.
- Experience of managing projects in an engineering environment.
- Design and deliver effective informal and formal presentations to individuals and groups.
- Dealing with customers.
- Working with suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience of task management.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP).
- Good understanding of engineering processes.
