We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Attendance Officer to join our team at AWD online. As an Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pastoral Team in monitoring and analysing whole school attendance and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyse attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Work closely with the Senior Leader of Learning - Pastoral to develop strategies to address and prevent student absence
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and alternative education providers to ensure students receive the support they need
- Record and maintain accurate attendance data using SIMs and other systems
- Support the Pastoral team with behaviour and welfare issues, and work one-to-one with students on attendance support plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with SIMs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and friendly manner, with a commitment to confidentiality
- Enrolment in a public sector pension scheme
