We are seeking an Ophthalmic Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our REI outpatient department, you will play a vital role in supporting patients undergoing ophthalmic tests and treatment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of care planned and assessed by registered nurses, carrying out care under indirect supervision. You will also assist in pre-operative assessments for ophthalmic surgical patients and organize and run local anaesthetic lists under indirect supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will need effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to complete accurate documentation. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience, is essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
