Bid Manager

Sustainable Building Services, a leading provider of retrofit residential decarbonisation works in the UK and winner of multiple awards, is seeking a talented Bid Manager to contribute to our fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and presentation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce high-quality submissions that will secure new business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the personal and professional development of individuals within the bid team through Personal Development Plans, training, and regular 1-2-1 performance reviews.
- Conduct Bid Improvement Workshops with key contributors, including Operational and Commercial teams.
- Develop relationships with internal bid contributors, including commercial and operational teams, and external partners, such as architects and engineers, to form a unified bid team.
- Work closely with Senior Management teams to produce bid/pipeline activity reports.
- Attend a range of networking, procurement, and bidding events.
- Foster relationships with industry, political, and academic groups to stay informed of best practice and policy changes.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers/Managing Directors to gain market intelligence and support business growth plans in line with objectives.
- Take on business development/key account functions to support wider business objectives.
- Capture commercial and quality feedback to drive improvement.
- Develop market intelligence and maintain a bid library to support the ongoing bid function.
