Job Title: Healthcare Assistant - Outpatient Department

Daytime Healthcare Recruitment Limited is partnering with a prestigious Private High End Luxury Orthopedic Sports Clinic in Central London to recruit an experienced Healthcare Assistant with Phlebotomy skills to join their Outpatient Department on a Permanent full-time basis.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Assistant to provide support to senior outpatient clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Phlebotomy and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to senior outpatient clinical staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Assist registered nurses in the assessment and planning of patient care, participating in the implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Deal with client and consultant requests in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Chaperone during patient consultations and assist consultants with injections and minor procedures.
  • Perform venepuncture, MRSA screening, pre-op screening, and other related tasks.
  • Apply splints, supports, and braces, and assist registered nurses with more complex procedures.
  • Assist radiologists during ultrasound clinics and ensure the safe use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform daily and weekly checks to ensure adherence to clinical governance standards.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Relevant Phlebotomy course and current clinical practice in this area
  • IT literate
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an NHS or private hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and feedback from senior staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
