Job Title: Evidence Reviewer and Court Processor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Evidence Reviewer and Court Processor to join our team at Devon and Cornwall Police. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that road traffic offences are dealt with efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evidential reviews of road traffic offences, including digital and manual submissions.
  • Decide the best course of action within legislation, policy, and national guidelines.
  • Input relevant information onto Force systems, such as Crash and Pentip.
  • Build streamlined digital files for progression through the Single Justice System (SJS).
  • Work closely with partnership agencies, including CPS, court staff, Magistrates, DVLA, Vision Zero Southwest, and Police Officers.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to improve the performance and quality of submissions.
  • Negotiate and arrange effective Court hearings and trials.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to build professional and effective working relationships.
  • Effective time management, planning, and flexibility.
  • Awareness of the Criminal Justice System in dealing with road traffic offences.
