Job Summary

A Senior Data Analyst at Abcam will develop, deploy, and maintain complex reporting and dashboards, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate with the Data & Analytics teams to fulfill business requests.

This role requires strong programming, data analysis skills, and the ability to manage own workload while understanding company and business strategy. Experience with Tableau is essential, and site admin level knowledge is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define needs, influencing and communicating effectively across departments and teams.
  • Provide support for analysts building reports within the reporting solution.
  • Develop a knowledge exchange platform for analysts and data citizens.
  • Establish a company-wide catalogue of metrics and dimensions.
  • Own and govern the dashboard lifecycle process.
  • Prioritize the backlog of data pipelines implemented by data engineering.
  • Ensure availability, accuracy, and reliability of senior management reporting.
  • Manage user licenses, including onboarding and offboarding analysts.
  • Manage migration programs for transitioning between reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Relevant master's degree is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience with data modeling and visualization techniques.
  • Proficiency in report generation using Tableau.
  • Proficiency using SQL or other query languages.
  • Proficiency in Python is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering insights and recommendations that drive business value.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
