Role Overview

Reactive Recruitment is seeking a skilled Functional Assessor to join our team. As a Healthcare Professional, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with disabilities, including physical and mental evaluations.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments and progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the field of disability assessment.

Requirements
  • At least one year of post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
  • Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, etc.) with a valid PIN and no restrictions.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and delve deeper.
  • Ability to work efficiently, produce timely reports, and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in IT, Microsoft Office, and remote system access.
  • A valid driving license or access to transportation to attend the nearest assessment centre.

Working Hours
  • Contracted for 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, full-time).
  • Flexible working hours to be agreed with your line manager after training, balancing business needs with your work-life balance.
  • Working hours can be between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid one-hour lunch break.
  • Example schedules: 8am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5:30pm.
  • Minimum 4 weeks' notice for any changes to your rota.
