Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Draftsman to produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for fabrication and installation of structural projects including steel frames and staircases. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in advanced steel CAD software and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and design intent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 2D and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Rhinoceros 3D.
  • Prepare schematics and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication teams during the manufacturing and installation phases.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to gather measurements and assess project requirements.


Requirements:
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, 3ds Max, and Rhinoceros 3D.
  • Understanding of architectural and engineering principles as they relate to drafting.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.


This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum. Salary may vary depending on experience.
