Distributed Systems Developer Position for Cloud Infrastructure

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a comprehensive platform of public cloud services that empowers customers to design, deploy, and manage a wide range of applications in a scalable, secure, highly available, and high-performance environment.
We are building innovative product portfolios to protect customers' cloud environments with cutting-edge approaches and hyperscale efficiency. Our core security pillars are customer isolation, data encryption, security controls, and visibility. We aim to create the most secure cloud environment for our customers to confidently build their applications on top of OCI.
We offer a rich set of services to help our customers securely store and manage their data, provide flexible access to their environment, detect vulnerabilities and threats, and take remediations based on industry best practices such as CVE and CIS. Our solutions ensure customers can confidently grow their business in Oracle Cloud.
The biggest challenges for our team include ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability to keep up with the fast growth of the business and handle traffic patterns several orders of magnitude greater than what we currently support.
To achieve this, we need top-notch developers with strong fundamentals, design capabilities, and experience in distributed systems development. You should be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages is required, along with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
In addition, hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle) and building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules are highly valued. Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions is also beneficial.
