Job Title: Clerical Officer-Administration

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Officer to join our team at NISI. As a key member of our Health Records Department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide reception and admission duties in various clinical areas, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  2. Utilize the Trust's Patient Administration System (PAS) SEMA to manage patient records and appointments, requiring strong keyboard skills and attention to detail.
  3. Support the provision of a comprehensive health library service, including the retrieval and maintenance of patient records and x-rays.
  4. Operate and maintain an efficient planning service for inpatient and outpatient appointment booking, adhering to clinical priorities and guidelines.
  5. Develop and maintain effective communication skills to ensure seamless interactions with patients, GPs, and internal/external contacts.
  6. Meet performance standards and contribute to the success of the Health Records and Patient Access team.
Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grades or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  2. Administrative experience, with a focus on software proficiency and patient interaction.

Desirable:

  1. NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or Customer Services.

Skills:

  1. Good organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and multitasking.
  2. Excellent keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
  4. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.

Working Arrangements:

  1. Temporary 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
  2. £11.44 per hour + weekly holiday pay.
  3. Monday-Friday, flexible hours between 8am and 6pm.
