Job Title: Cost Estimator Manager

Leap29 is seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator Manager to join our UK Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the cost estimating function and providing expert advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and develop staff personnel and contractors to deliver cost estimates across a portfolio of projects.
  • Manage estimates and chargeable hours across projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Lead client engagement and key meetings to discuss estimates and project plans.
  • Interface with other business functions to gather data and benchmarking information.
  • Allocate manpower for proposal preparation, concept studies, FEED, and detailed engineering projects.
  • Recommend and assign manpower for estimating activities within budgeted project man-hours.
  • Direct department performance evaluations and establish clear work standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend promotions, salary increases, transfers, and terminations.
  • Determine training and development requirements within the department.
  • Assess and identify technical tools and conduct presentations to update and improve work quality.
  • Consult with quality assurance on compliance with Kent's QMS, project quality plan, and design integrity processes.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, including execution statements, man-hour cost estimates, and client clarifications.
Requirements:
  • Significant related cost estimating experience in concept, FEED, and detailed design CAPEX and OPEX estimates.
  • Excellent coordination, monitoring, and supervisory skills.
  • Exposure to consultancy, FEED/detailed design, and EPC projects.
  • Planning and forecasting skills.
