Cost Estimator Manager

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimating Group Manager to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of cost estimators and developing strategies to deliver high-quality estimates to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, develop, and manage a team of cost estimators to deliver estimates on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement cost estimation strategies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead client engagement and key meetings to discuss estimates and project plans.
- Interface with other departments to gather data and benchmarking information.
- Accountable to the Engineering Director and Managing Director for the successful delivery of projects.
- Allocate resources and manpower for proposal preparation, concept studies, FEED, and detailed engineering.
- Direct department performance evaluations, establish clear work standards, and ensure performance objectives are met.
- Determine training and development requirements, identify skill gaps, and recommend training needs.
- Assess and develop technical tools, conduct presentations, and seminars to improve work quality.
- Consult with quality assurance on compliance with QMS, project quality plan, and design integrity processes.
- Participate in proposal preparation, including execution statements, man-hour cost estimates, and client clarifications.
- Manage department activities, accountable for overall discipline-related activities for project completion within schedule, quality, man-hour, and costs.
- Significant related cost estimating experience in concept, FEED, and detailed design CAPEX and OPEX estimates.
- Previous experience in a management position.
- Excellent management, leadership, coordination, monitoring, and supervisory skills.
- Exposure to consultancy, FEED/detailed design, and EPC projects.
- Planning and forecasting skills.
