Senior Children's Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Occupational Therapist to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with a range of needs and abilities.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose children's occupational performance needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including direct therapy, coaching, and training, to promote children's occupational performance and participation.
- Collaborate with children, young people, and their families to identify goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Workers and/or Integrated Therapy Assistants.
- Mentor and clinically supervise newly qualified Occupational Therapists and Band 4/5 staff as required.
- Participate in clinical audits and clinical research as appropriate.

Requirements- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Diploma level specialist training or experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Post-graduate certified courses specific to children's needs (Sensory training; ADOS, 3di etc).
- Membership of professional body (RCOT).
