We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Local Emergency Response Coordinator in our LRF Secretariat.

About the Role:

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the effective preparation, response, and recovery from emergencies in Gloucestershire.

You will have experience of working in an LRF environment, with the ability to manage work programmes, support sub-groups, and embed lessons learned from previous emergencies.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage work programmes and support LRF sub-groups
  • Embed lessons learned from previous emergencies
  • Facilitate presentations to stakeholders
  • Support the national risk assessment process
  • Act as a strategic and tactical advisor to command and control cells
